It almost fit, it really did! Yet, alas and alack, more subdivisions.

The story took over the challenge likely at its inception so I'm not going to stress too much about keeping the updates orderly, so long as I'm playing the rotations.
And I'm not going to stress at all about prising a few hundred characters from wherever they may be spared just to make it fit.

Stuff happened. Loads. If you're interested in finding out what-the-stuff, please read on!

The Beech is Back (or These Beeches Aint Loyal: Part Two...A)Collapse )
22 April 2015 @ 09:17 am
Forgot to post these. It's the rest of the Beech family pics that went to Sandy:

And Peni wanted the Hart baby pics, too, so here's a few shots of Rhett's girls. There's probably a couple in there that haven't been shown, being earmarked for Penny's house but I think these are the right pics. No time to check, just ran them all through the compressorizer.

And, in case anyone else should find it useful, here are the AL closets (both with and without the mirror) emptied of those maxis clothes. Like so:

I have no idea how to remove the hangers and boxes, though; it wasn't a recolour option so that's beyond my ken.

As for the bacc, the next pics are more or less arranged, just need to find a few minutes to write the dang thing. Maybe this weekend.

Prior to this round I'd never seen anyone but Goldie do this. Once. Suddenly spring arrives and Valentine and Candy are juggling fools.

Now, on with Part Two.

...the Hart updates will almost certainly be divided up the same way as I reluctantly split the Beeches, for the sake of my sanity.

I may be trespassing on readerly goodwill, I hope not, but I'm still going to have to side with my sanity on this one.  Shouldn't be an issue moving forward through the rest of the round, though. Of course, I haven't played all of it so we'll see :-)  I don't know what happens when I'm playing the Beeches and Harts or why it happens so consistently!  Well, actually, I do. Those two families set the standard for the town and in the process of doing so get up to Much Stuff.  Goldie might be surprised to find herself lumped in with the trendsetters (or tone-setters) but a Hart is as a Hart does.

All right now, I haven't done much in the way of organising pics but the next part should be ready some time this week I should think.  Not that I expect anyone's chomping at the bit for the next chapter but getting this preliminary stuff out of the way means less fighting for space with LJ character limits.

Happy Simming!

In the interest of saving space for Outtakes also by the time I get to them I scoured my folder but don't see any that are
standalone funny that don't have details I'd rather reveal in story so here, have a little reminder of what's been goin' down.

(Wish I'd caught the shot with the full on guffaw.)

(This was my Part Two teaser pic, and I guess it still is regardless of what I call these divisions. On with the rest...)

It's Spring! And Widespot kind of already ran on woohoo; who's woohooing whom, who used to, who wants to...So it should
come as no surprise if the spring fever spreads around here like an epidemic! Without further adieu, here goes Round 3.

Actually, now there's a little further adieu. I really, really didn't want to further subdivide this but I cannot devote another minute to trimming the fat from the html or figuring out what other scenes I can cut. Yes, it's wordy. Isn't it always? But I arranged and wrote it as one "Part One" so it still is to me. The cut-off's pretty arbitrary, I just found the halfway mark. And now:

*I'm sleepy, so I'm going to go attend to that, but subpart B (sheesh) will probably be up before anyone has even seen A.*

Okay, histrionics aside...since it seems I do, in fact, remember my LJ password I figured I'd vent a little and let you all know what the delay is about. A week ago my precious PC contracted a nasty case of sudden death syndrome. No symptoms, no warnings, no glitching, no BSODs...just one minute I was minding my business (working on the Beech update, actually) and the next I wasn't. Total shutdown, like a power outage, except nothing but my comp went out, and it wouldn't and won't start back up. Best guess is my power supply may no longer be up to snuff (though it, easily replaceable part that it is, is not completely dead) but it seems my motherboard was totally fried while the psu flailed about. I don't care about that as much as I might, I've been meaing to upgrade, but I rushed to order parts for my new build and not only have they not arrived yet, they haven't even shipped! I didn't spring for expedited shipping, which only too late am I questioning, because they usually deliver lightning fast regardless. Even if not, one week was a stretch but it wasn't going to kill me. This, however, is going into week 2...

Plus side: I don't think there's anything wrong with my hard drives so I'm not going to worry about that unless and until I know I have to. I fully expect to be back up and running if only they would just deliver my stuff! Downside: Once I've got my computer back (my preciousss and not this lousy laptop that I only use for backup net access so it's got No Stuffs) I'm going to be pretty damn busy playing catch up so I won't be able to even look at a sim for a while. Well, not unless I can get TS1 working on this old clunker but that'd just be to keep me amused while I wait. Widespot shenanigans, unfortunately, postponed a few more weeks :-(

I did manage to get about half of Round 3 played, though, and it was much fun, as always (and quite “dramatical”) so I'm itching to share. I'll get it done as soon as ever I can!
